Final Project Process
I filmed my final project in Brandon Mb. We filmed in HD at 16:9 ratio, doing this gave me alot more room to play with and reframe the shot. We also filmed without a dolly so filming at a larger size allowed me to stabilizing the footage more easily.
When you stabilize footage it holds a certain point of the footage in the same position and therefore causes the frame to do all of the moving so I did end up having to clone in the sidewalk surface in certain scenes (the shoes, skateboard, and pants/shorts mainly) as you can see in the video.
After framing and stabilizing the shot I color corrected and then masked out the characters. Masking the actors allowed me to have my animations go in behind them and interact with them a lot better.
My name is Erica Edwards. I am from Deloraine, Manitoba. I’ve lived in Vancouver since August 2007 when I moved out here to take the Digital Design program at Vancouver Film School. I am interested in Motion Graphics, Design, Advertising, and Photography and would like to further a career in them.
