Music Video Moodboard

moodboard.jpgThis term in motion class we are doing a music video for a band called The Paper Cranes. They are a Victoria based band with an indie sound. We are doing their song “I’ll Love You Till My Veins Explode.” Justin, Emily, Carla, and Amber are in my group for the project. So far everything is going really good, we are in production this weekend and are currently putting together an animatic. This is the moodboard for our project

BBC2 and CNN Logo Remakes

For 3d class this term we are recreating Tv Logos. This week’s assignment was to do a news logo. I did this BBC 2 bumper, and a CNN new bumper. I used Cinema 4d to create them. These videos show first the video I was referencing, then my storyboards, and then my remake of that logo.

Bon Voyage Travel Website

Screen Shots1screen-shots-pg2.gifscreen-shots-pg3.gif

This is the website interface I designed for interactive design class this term. Bon Voyage is a travel website where people can research places they might potentially want to travel to. It also allows you to upload your photos and keep a travel log so that you can share your vacations with friends and family while you are away and once you have returned. There is also a forum where people can post travel deals that they have found. Since most travel websites are very complicated this website is to be kept simple so that people can use it without confusion. I wanted to keep the interface simple for that reason. I also chose to use bright colors to make the website feel fun, since vacations are fun. The typefaces were chosen because they are legible and make the website seem more personal. This project was originally over scoped for the amount of time I had to complete it. Initially the idea was more developed, for example you could order prints of your pictures, and a favorites section so you could bookmark your favorite destinations, but once I started creating the page mockups I realized that I would have to shrink the website down in order to finish this project. I think this website would have been a better interactive design project than an interface project since alot of the work I did was more focused on how the site would work instead of how it would look. Here are some screen shots of the pages I designed.

Trajan

TrajanThis is a specimen sheet I made for typography class. I researched the typeface Trajan for examples and information. Trajan is most commonly used in movie posters and DVD covers so I decided to make my specimen sheet a movie poster.

Tsunami Infographic

This is the infographic that Jamie Peterson, Shal Matharu, and myself worked on this term. We used Illusrator and Photoshop to created the imagery and After Effects to composite it. Derek K. Miller wrote our scripe and Catherine Kobasiuk.

High Rollers Title Sequence

This is the title sequence I created for a movie called High Rollers. I created the poker chip and dice in cinema 4d and the cards were done in after effects. The background looks washed out because of the compression of the video.
