Bon Voyage Travel Website

Screen Shots1screen-shots-pg2.gifscreen-shots-pg3.gif

This is the website interface I designed for interactive design class this term. Bon Voyage is a travel website where people can research places they might potentially want to travel to. It also allows you to upload your photos and keep a travel log so that you can share your vacations with friends and family while you are away and once you have returned. There is also a forum where people can post travel deals that they have found. Since most travel websites are very complicated this website is to be kept simple so that people can use it without confusion. I wanted to keep the interface simple for that reason. I also chose to use bright colors to make the website feel fun, since vacations are fun. The typefaces were chosen because they are legible and make the website seem more personal. This project was originally over scoped for the amount of time I had to complete it. Initially the idea was more developed, for example you could order prints of your pictures, and a favorites section so you could bookmark your favorite destinations, but once I started creating the page mockups I realized that I would have to shrink the website down in order to finish this project. I think this website would have been a better interactive design project than an interface project since alot of the work I did was more focused on how the site would work instead of how it would look. Here are some screen shots of the pages I designed.

Infographic — Billion Dollar Ideas

InfographicThis was the infographic that Yaniv Fridman and I made for Interactive Design class. Our topic was Billion Dollar Ideas. We wanted to give people interesting information about the people behind certain ideas that made them billionaires. I will post the Flash website for it in a few days.
